Together with gGmbH we assist the youth in vulnerable situation to enter into job market.
In Ashaiman we create for them short term employment oriented skills and assist them with employment or self-employment.

About the project

Bina Ghana is a project supported by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, bfz gGmbH to assist the youth in vulnerable situation to enter into job market.
The programme consists in giving short term employment oriented skills to youth and assist them with employment/ selfemployment at the completion of the programme.
Salesians of Don Bosco, Ghana entered into an MoU with bfz gGmbH to implement the BINA programme in Ashaiman, Ghana.
The proposed agreement is to train 1500 youth of which 40% women and find suitable employment for at least 25% of the candidates within 6 months of the programme.
The project has brought youth and life to the Training Centre, Ashaiman. The centre was refurnished and equipped for training in Automobile, Electrical, Hospitality, Beauty Care, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. The first batch training started with 154 and 121 successfully completed the training on 28th February 2020. All the trainees who applied for job are assisted towards placement through attachment in various organisations in the state. 86 trainees expressed their desire to go for placement / attachment at the completion of training; of which 68 were assisted to get placement/ attachment within 15 days of batch completion.
We are expecting to conduct 3 batches of training per year.
