OUR MISSION IN NIGERIA
Salesians of Don Bosco came to Nigeria specifically in Akure in the year 1982 on the 22nd of February. Here, the Salesians build a Technical Schools as their first institution and it had taken shape and is now very popular. But the greatest achievement of the Salesians is the establishment of the Devotion to Mary Help of Christians Parish with three (3) masses every Sunday for over 1000 people. In 1982 the preparation for the second community of Salesians in Nigeria was well developed with a technical college as a start up for the young people in Ondo State. And was name as the St. John Bosco Parish as well as community. Also with the inspiration and pedagogical method of Saint John Bosco, different set of activities has been put in place.
In 2011, to respond to the cry of millions of young people in Lagos, one of the most populated city in Africa, Salesians in Nigeria started mission in capital of the country.
